Setting is night. Rain. Construction zone down to 55 mph in two lanes about to neck down into one. I'm Driving home last night at around 11pm with the family all asleep in their cozy rav-4 seats. The STI on my ass so close I can't see it's headlights does not help...
I hope none of the Jalops ever drive this way. I have been, at this point, on the road for about 6 hours and 300 miles of hilly/automatic downshift climbing and descending terrain from Albuquerque en-route to northern Colorado. After the groovy s-turn the construction zone makes I move over into the right lane. The STI zips ahead in the left lane. There is other traffic in this zone as well and as soon as he has another gap, I witness what could only be an over 100mph blast...and swerving up behind him? What I can guess is his buddy in a stock green Legacy wagon trying to keep up. This was in some hilly areas of Colorado Springs. It was late Sunday night. The zone was ACTIVELY being worked by crews.
So, I sincerely hope he got an enormous "fine doubled" ticket but I never passed him having been pulled over. This was not the only example of youth in a sporty car being incredibly aggressive in construction zone traffic that evening. (I hope the 90's trans-am guy from downtown Denver reads this too. He was pushing everyone around squeezing in ahead in single-lane zones. I gave him the horn. He gave a peace sign...I think...) What about a great car makes people be complete douche-bags in construction traffic? I understand some people feel that way in regular slow traffic but rainy active construction? And am I supposed to hyphenate douchebag?

Yesterday we were stuck in traffic next to some douchenozzle in a Mustang and every time the rest of the cars in his lane moved up, he'd stay about 100 feet back and then floor it just to show off his shitty aftermarket exhaust. He did this crap for hours and hours.
And then a Z06 and a C3 showed up, did the same thing and it was like the 4th of July with cars.
